Cesar chair is a hybrid between a chaise and high back sofa. The closed corner creates a space of intimacy and privacy. The open side allows for lounging sideways or lying down. Two levels of woven bungee cord connecting the backrest and seat frame provide a consistent flexing motion for one or two users. Individually upholstered panels visually and physically lighten the structure. The panels can be removed, cleaned and replaced separately, ensuring longevity of the product. Self-built prototype.
